2018 Keynote Speakers

Prof. Dr. Md. Mamun Habib, BRAC University , Bangladesh

Dr. Md. Mamun Habib is an Associate Professor at BRAC Business School (BBS), BRAC University, Bangladesh. In addition, Dr. Habib is the Visiting Scientist of University of Texas – Arlington, USA. Prior to that, he was Associate Professor at Asia Graduate School of Business (AGSB) at UNITAR International University, Malaysia and the Dept. of Operations Research/Decision Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Malaysia. Earlier, he was also working as Associate Professor at the Dept. of Operations Management, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). He is the Editor-in-Chief in International Journal of Supply Chain Management (IJSCM), London, UK (SCOPUS Indexed).
He accomplished his Ph.D. and M.S. with outstanding performance in Computer & Engineering Management (CEM) under the Graduate School of Business (GSB) from Assumption University, Thailand.His Ph.D. research was in the field of Supply Chain Management. He has 16 years experience in the field of teaching as well as in training, workshops, consultancy and research. At present, he is supervising some Ph.D. students at locally and internationally. Furthermore, he has several Ph.D. involvements with UUM, AIMST University, UNITAR, Asia e University (AeU), Malaysia; Assumption University of Thailand; Institute for Technology and Management (ITM) – University and Birla Institute of Technology (BIT)–Deemed University, India, National Institute of Technology (NIT),India, SOA University, India; University of the Assumption, Philippines. He also involved with online learning programme at University of Roehampton (UoR), London, UK and as International Ph.D. Reader. He is actively involved with national and international research grant projects.
As a researcher, Dr. Habib published about 90+ research papers, including Conference Proceedings, Journal articles, and book chapters/books. Also, he delivers lecture as Keynote Speaker at 30+ international conferences, namely 3rd LSCM Conference 2013, Bali, Indonesia; 2nd ICIE Conference 2013, India; 7th ICIEM Conference 2013, China; 1st ICIDSC Conference 2014, Malaysia; 8th MASS Conference 2014, China; 2014-15 COES&RJ Conferences, Singapore; 2015, 2016 and 2017 IRED Conferences, Thailand and Malaysia; 2nd ICAEM 2015, China; 2015 and 2016 IRP Conferences, Malaysia; 2015 and 2016 GRDS Conferences, Malaysia; ASCA 2015, Thailand; ASCA 2017, Korea and etc.
He serves as the Editor-in-Chief/Lead Guest Editor/Editor/Editorial Board Member/Reviewer of more than 20 journals, particularly Scopus and Thomson Reuters Indexed Journals. He also serves as General Chair, Program Chair, Technical Chair, Organizing Committee Member, Technical Committee Member, Track Chair, Session Chair as well as Reviewer of numerous international conferences in India, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, USA, Turkey, China, Indonesia, Korea, etc. He received Best Track Chair Award at IEOM’2012 Conference.
His core research areas are supply chain management, production & operations management, operations research, research methodology, engineering management, technology management, and educational management. Finally, Dr. Habib is an active member of different professional organizations, including IEEE (Senior Member), IEOM (President, SCM Technical Division), IETI (Senior Member and Board of Director), IRED (Fellow), GRDS (Vice-President), IEB, AIMS, INFOMS, just to name a few.

Prof. Dr. Mu Li

Mu Li is a Full Professor with Doctor Degree in Law and Post Doctoral Fellow of Law. Now, He is Dean of School of Art and Law of Wuhan University of Technology; and he also is PhD Student Supervisor of WHUT, Director of China Administrative Law Research Association, Hubei province "Ten Outstanding Young Jurists", Executive Director of Hubei Law Society, Member of the Academic Committee of the Hubei Law society, Vice President and Secretary General of Hubei Administrative Law Research Association, Vice President of Hubei Provincial Constitution Research Association, Vice President of the Local Legislative Council, The first session of Law " Two Thousand Talents Program", and Evaluation Experts for China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the National Social Science Fund of China, the Ministry of Education of China, Hubei Social Science Fund.

Prof. Dr. Michael McAleer

Distinguished Chair Professor of National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan

President and Distinguished Fellow and 2016 Annual Scientific Award Winner of IETI.

Michael McAleer holds a PhD (Economics), 1981, from Queen´s University, Canada. He is University Distinguished Chair Professor, Department of Quantitative Finance, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, Erasmus Visiting Professor of Quantitative Finance, Econometric Institute, Erasmus School of Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands, Adjunct Professor in the Department of Quantitative Economics, Complutense University of Madrid (founded 1293) , Spain, Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and IAS Adjunct Professor, Institute of Advanced Sciences, Yokohama National University, Japan. On numerous occasions, he has been a distinguished visiting professor at the University of Tokyo, Kyoto University and Osaka University, Japan, University of Padova (founded 1222), Italy, Complutense University of Madrid (founded 1293), Spain, Ca' Foscari University of Venice, Italy, University of Zurich, Switzerland, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is an elected Distinguished Fellow of the International Engineering and Technology Institute (DFIETI), and an elected Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia (FASSA), International Environmental Modelling and Software Society (FIEMSS), Modelling and Simulation Society of Australia and New Zealand (FMSSANZ), Tinbergen Institute, The Netherlands, and Journal of Econometrics. He is the Editor-in-Chief of five international journals, is on the editorial boards of a further 37 international journals, and has guest co-edited numerous special issues of the Journal of Econometrics (Elsevier), Econometric Reviews (Taylor and Francis), Environmental Modelling and Software (Elsevier), Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (Elsevier), North American Journal of Economics and Finance (Elsevier), International Review of Economics and Finance (Elsevier), Annals of Financial Economics (World Scientific), Journal of Risk and Financial Management (MDPI), Journal of Economic Surveys (Wiley), and Economic Record (Wiley). In terms of academic publications, he has published more than 675 journal articles and books in financial econometrics, quantitative finance, risk and financial management, economics, theoretical and applied econometrics, theoretical and applied statistics, time series analysis, energy economics, energy finance, forecasting, informatics, data mining, bibliometrics, and international rankings of journals and academics.

Prof. Wande Wei

Professor of Wuhan University of Technology, Wuhan

As a full professor and also an M.A. supervisor in cross-cultural communication and English language, Wande Wei has been actively involved in cultural exchanges and translation studies for over 30 years. He is the former director of the Graduate English Teaching Department in the School of Foreign Languages of Wuhan University of Technology. He is also a member of the Higher Education Association for Foreign Language Teaching and Researching. He has successfully published more than 25 academic research papers, and accomplished 20 research projects as well as 15 textbooks mainly concerning cultural and translation studies. He has also held visiting professorships in two universities in the USA, giving a variety of cultural lectures to local students and faculties. Besides, he has been engaged in cultural exchanges and business negotiations with delegates and companies in countries including the USA, Canada, England, Italy, Australia, Iraq and areas including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan ever since 1982. In short, he has always shown his commitment to strengthening cooperation and mutual benefits between different countries in terms of culture, education and business.
